What you should know about permanent teeth whitening
The only thing that’s permanent is change – yes, we’ve all heard that one before and we even have proof that things do change.
Like for example our skin – when we grow older our skin will no longer be the usual fresh looking and tight like it was before when we were younger – you would notice that it has already sagged a little and not to mention some specks and spots are quite noticeable as well.
And so with our teeth – unfortunately, as we grow older, our teeth will no longer be the usual white as pearls like before when we were young – but now that you’re older, you would notice that there are quite a few changes – as well. Like for example, the yellowing of the teeth and you can also add in a couple of plaque and tartar and basically you can assume or rather deduce that your teeth has changed.
Fortunately for us mere mortals – there are a few ways to change this or simply put there are ways to change this seemingly permanent thing that has happened to our teeth.
Permanent teeth whitening is quite possible nowadays too.
Now, what should one know about permanent teeth whitening? What are the risks involved? And what should one expect after having or being treated with this kind of teeth whitening?
First off, what is it?
Obviously, taken from the word permanent – it’s something that cannot be change or if it will be change and/or removed, one will go through a hard time of having it changed or removed. Like a tattoo for example – ouch!
But since this article isn’t about getting inked, instead this article is about permanent teeth whitening – let’s dive deeper.
This method would involve one to go to the dentist and avail of his services – which is, mind you, quite expensive. Oh yes, it is. Because the process of whitening the teeth permanently would surely involve – aside from of course the dentists’ expertise – it will most likely involve of the new technology the world has to offer today.
Like for example – laser teeth whitening.
Oh yes, the light and heat emitted from “gun” which the dentists use will surely and most likely give out a permanent teeth whitening effect to our teeth.
Now, what’s the catch?
This is a scary thought – because as far as we know, anything that is too good to be true or anything in the world for that matter, has a catch to it, regardless if it’s microscopic or gargantuan. It is noticeable.
Now, using this method of whitening doesn’t mean you’re free from the usual practice or good oral hygiene of brushing – flossing and of course gurgling – nope, you’re not free from this. Not even in a long shot.
Just because you’ve had your dentist already zapped your teeth with laser – doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re free from the usual, everyday – good – practice of brushing and/or the way we’re supposed to take care of our teeth. No.
You simply can’t expect magic of course. Just because the dentist already did his part, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re free from brushing – nope, again, you’re not.
Unless of course, if you want to:
1. Spend an extra thousand (or more) to get yet again, another permanent teeth whitening procedure
2. Risk destroying your teeth in the process of teeth whitening
There are risks too, of course. You can’t expect that the process of it will not have any – not that you SHOULD expect that there will be one, but chances, if you do this or if you go through the process of permanent teeth whitening often, the foundation of your teeth will weaken.
The enamel of the teeth for example – it its the outer coating which basically shells the teeth from being destroyed or harmed or basically the enamel protects our teeth from unnecessary or unwanted things that we wouldn’t want to happen to our teeth.
And with the process of permanent teeth whitening – chances are the enamel of your teeth may be destroyed.
Now, the above mentioned whitening process, is just one out of the many. And yes, there are quite a few out there in the market or services available and for sure, ready for cater your dire need to have white teeth.
